Mega Career Fair 2024

On the 12th of July, 2024, a Mega Career Fair was organized by DPS Newtown in the School auditorium featuring a robust list of 75 very prominent universities around the globe, including the Colorado State University and the University of Manchester, among others.

The Career Fair was open to parents and students of Classes 11 and 12. It offered them a glimpse of various avenues to reach their goals, encouraging them to pursue their dreams of studying abroad. Representatives from the universities around the world, including countries like Canada, the USA, the United Kingdom, France and, of course, India were present and informed the parents and students of course offers, scholarship programs, annual tuition fees and admission process of their respective institutions.

The participating universities showcased an assortment of courses available in the fields of culinary arts, business studies, science, liberal arts and management studies. Over a period of three hours, the representatives from the universities interacted with the students, explaining to them what the best way to set about achieving their dreams would be.

The Career Fair provided guidance to many students who dreamt of pursuing a certain career or studying abroad, but did not know how and where to begin. Simultaneously, it reassured the parents that their children’s passion and dreams will be looked after and nourished with great commitment. As Srijata Biswas, a student of Class 12 puts it, “The Career Fair has given me options and avenues that I hadn’t thought of before.”

Thus, the Mega Career Fair was truly an enlightening experience for both students and parents.
